Hi there! I’m Ebonie, and if we haven’t met yet, let me introduce myself. I’m a hair stylist, salon owner, hair extensions specialist, wife, mom of three, and, as of late, a peri-menopausal 46-year-old navigating life with a mix of grace, humor, and caffeine.
I’ve been a stylist for over 20 years and own E. Noir Extensions + Color Salon here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Helping women feel confident and beautiful through custom color and seamless extensions is my passion, and I’ve built my business around making every guest feel like their best self. But this blog? This is where I get to be me—sharing everything from hair tips to baking disasters (and successes!) and even the messy, real-life stuff.
Speaking of messy, let’s talk about 2025. A fresh year always feels like an open canvas, and I’m painting mine with vibrant goals, renewed focus, and a sprinkle of fun. Whether you’re a regular client, a fellow stylist, or someone who just stumbled across this post, I’m so glad you’re here.
What to Expect on the Blog:
Hair Hacks & Extension Insights: Wondering how to keep your extensions looking flawless between appointments? Or maybe you want to know why hair color doesn’t just "fade" but "matures" (like fine wine)? I’ve got you.
Life as a Salon Owner: Ever wanted to know what it’s like running a salon while being a wife and mom? Let’s just say it’s an adventure that involves a lot of scheduling apps and even more dry shampoo.
Baking Adventures: My kitchen is where I decompress. From cookies to cakes, I’ll share recipes, family favorites, and maybe a baking fail or two (because who doesn’t love a good laugh?).
Real Talk About Midlife: Perimenopause is not for the faint of heart, y’all. I’ll be sharing some unfiltered thoughts on brain fog, hormones, and the joys (and not-so-joyful parts) of being in your 40s.
So, here’s to a new year and a renewed blog! Whether you’re here for the hair tips, the baking recipes, or just a dose of relatable life stories, I hope you’ll stick around. Let’s make 2025 unforgettable—one blog post at a time.
What’s something you’re looking forward to this year? Share it in the comments—I’d love to hear from you!
