Your Starting Point at E. Noir

As a Protege, you’ll be enrolled in the E. Noir Stylist Academy, where you’ll learn the way we do things, from guest experience and technical standards to our business systems and team culture. It’s the foundation that helps every stylist here grow faster, feel more confident, and build a career that actually works.
Program Overview
Our Stylist Assistant Program is designed to take you from the basics to fully confident behind the chair in about 6 months. This journey is all about real growth, hands-on learning, and building something you're proud of.

We move at your pace, some stylists may move through the program faster, others may take a little more time. No pressure, no comparison, just the space and support you need to truly thrive.
Phase 1: Foundation (Week 1)
Your journey starts with a deep dive into E. Noir culture, salon operations, brand standards, and systems that will support your success long-term.
​
Phase 2: Business (Week 2)
You’ll learn how to run your chair like a business, from setting goals and tracking your numbers to creating content and marketing your work. This phase gives you the tools to grow with purpose and set the stage for long-term success behind the chair.
​
Phase 3: The Shampoo Experience (Weeks 3–4)
After completing this part of your training, you’ll bring in 10 shampoo models to perfect the guest experience, because we believe how you make people feel matters just as much as the hair itself.
​
Phase 4: Assisting Ebonie (Weeks 5–12)
You’ll work side-by-side with Ebonie on real guests, coloring, formulating, helping with extension installs, and learning what it takes to deliver flawless, luxury service.
​
Phase 5: Color Models + Clientele Building (Weeks 13–24)
You’ll begin taking paying color models at a discounted rate while building your own guest book. This is where your confidence, speed, and client relationships start to grow.
Compensation That Grows With You
You’ll start at $13/hour while you’re training in the E. Noir Stylist Academy. Once you complete the program, your pay transitions to commission, giving you the opportunity to grow your income as your skills and clientele grow, too.
