Why E. Noir Salon?

At E. Noir, every new stylist starts with our Stylist Academy—a six-month training program designed to build your skills behind the chair and teach you how to grow a thriving business. You’ll learn everything from salon systems and guest care to color, extensions, and social media. It’s a step-by-step path to feeling confident, prepared, and fully supported.

Phase 1: Foundation

This is where it all begins. You'll learn how the salon runs, what we value, and what makes the E. Noir guest experience so special. From culture and brand standards to daily salon duties, this phase sets the tone for your success.

Phase 2: Business

Here, you’ll start thinking like a business owner, not just a stylist. We’ll focus on social media, marketing, tracking your numbers, and goal setting—everything you need to start building a strong, profitable career behind the chair.

Phase 3: Assisting Ebonie

You’ll be working right alongside me in this phase, helping with real guests and learning everything from color techniques to extensions. It's hands-on, fast-paced, and designed to build your skills and confidence quickly.

Phase 4: Models - The Shampoo Experience

Now it’s your turn to lead. You’ll start working with models, beginning with one of the most important parts of the guest experience: the shampoo. This is where you learn how to create comfort, connection, and trust from the very start.

Phase 5: Color Models

In this phase, you’ll work with models to sharpen your color techniques and start building your clientele. You’ll be practicing everything you've learned so far—refining your skills, creating results you’re proud of, and preparing to launch on your own.

Your Growth at E. Noir

We don’t believe in rushing the process or sticking people in boxes. At E. Noir, growth happens step by step—with support, structure, and real opportunities to build the career you’ve been dreaming of. Here’s what that can look like:

Protege

This is where your journey begins. You’ll work alongside me as a co-stylist, matching my schedule while learning in real time. You’ll earn an hourly wage of $12 plus tips, and start taking models as you build your skills and confidence.

Building

After completing our training program, you’ll start seeing your own guests while still assisting two days a week. You’ll move to hourly plus commission pay as you continue building your book and finding your flow behind the chair.

Independent

Once you’re meeting your goals consistently and growing your clientele, you’ll shift to full commission with a flexible schedule—working two to four days per week. You’ll also take part in advanced extension training to deepen your skill set.

Leadership

You’ve built a full book of guests, mastered extensions, and proven your commitment to your craft. At this point, you may choose to explore mentorship, education, or other leadership roles within the salon. You’re not just growing a career—you’re creating a legacy.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Once you’ve built a strong foundation, your career can grow in whatever direction feels right for you. Want to mentor new stylists? Teach? Help lead the team? You’ll have opportunities to step into more responsibility if and when you're ready. Whether it’s behind the chair or beyond it, you’ll always have room to grow here.

In-Salon Training
- Ongoing sessions focused on both technique and business, so you’re always learning something new.

- Every other week, we sit down one-on-one to talk goals, track progress, and celebrate wins.
Flexible Scheduling
- Work no more than four days a week, with a schedule that gives you time for real life, too.
Fully Equipped Salon
- You bring your shears—we take care of the rest. From tools and towels to iPads and color, it’s all provided.
Continued Education
- We host quarterly trainings and support outside education that aligns with the E. Noir brand.

- Every 6–8 weeks, we close the salon and treat each other to a full day of self-care and team bonding.
